GPON & EPON OLT Management Software
XIMS manages GPON and EPON OLTs from one console — vendor-aware connectors for ZTE, generic SSH/Telnet for Huawei-class equipment, real-time SNMP polling, ONU auto-discovery, port-level provisioning and scheduled config backup. Built for broadband operators who need fiber control alongside billing, CRM and subscriber management.
One platform for every PON OLT in your network
Most ISP management platforms treat the OLT as something to "integrate with" through a third-party NMS. XIMS treats it as a first-class part of the operating console. You don't switch tools to provision a new ONU, suspend a defaulter, or trace why an entire feeder is offline — every action lives in the same UI where you manage the customer and the bill.
Supported OLT vendors
ZTE
Vendor-specific connector with full CLI awareness. C300, C320, C600 series and successors. Native command translation, profile management, ONU lifecycle control.
Huawei-class (generic SSH)
Generic SSH/Telnet connector handles Huawei MA5600T/MA5800-series and compatible OLTs that expose a CLI. Command templates adaptable per vendor flavour.
V-SOL, BDCOM, Fiberhome, others
Generic SSH/Telnet plus SNMP works with most CLI-accessible OLTs in the Indian and Southeast Asian markets. Custom vendor connectors added on request.
Capabilities
- ONU auto-discovery: the platform listens for new ONUs on each OLT, surfaces them for approval, and provisions VLAN, bandwidth and traffic profile per the assigned customer plan.
- Port-level provisioning: assign, modify, suspend or de-provision at the GEM port, ONU port or VLAN level. State machine ensures no half-completed changes.
- Real-time SNMP polling: configurable per-OLT intervals (default 60s for interface counters, ONU online status, signal levels). Critical alarms stream in real time via SNMP traps.
- Config backup: scheduled, versioned, diff-able. Roll back a misconfigured OLT in 90 seconds from the UI without SSH.
- Optical signal monitoring: RX power per ONU, threshold-based alerts, drift detection for early identification of degrading fiber runs.
- Vendor-agnostic alarms: normalized event stream regardless of vendor — dedup window, SLA deadlines, tier-based escalation.
- Bulk operations: firmware push to ONU populations, batch VLAN migrations, mass profile assignment — gated behind RBAC and audit.
- Inventory: every OLT, card, port and ONU tracked with serial number, location, install date and assigned subscriber.
How XIMS connects to your OLTs
Three transports, one abstraction. The connector picks the best available, falls back gracefully, retries with backoff.
SSH
Primary transport for vendor CLI access. AES-256-encrypted credential vault. Connection pooling per OLT. Command-output parsing per vendor.
Telnet
Available for legacy OLTs that don't expose SSH. Used only on management VLANs behind the operator's firewall. Audit log captures every command.
SNMP v1 / v2c / v3
Polling for counters and status. Trap reception for alarms. SNMPv3 with auth+priv supported for security-sensitive deployments.
Why operators move OLT management onto XIMS
- End the tool sprawl. Stop juggling vendor NMS, billing software, CRM, ticketing and a WhatsApp group of OLT screenshots. One UI, one record.
- Reduce provisioning errors. The state machine prevents the "VLAN configured but plan not assigned" class of errors. ONU goes live only when every required step is complete.
- Real audit trails. Every command sent to every OLT is logged with operator, timestamp and IP. Mandatory for operators dealing with regulatory audits.
- Faster outage response. Real-time alarms with deduplication mean the operator sees one incident, not 200 traps. SLA timers start automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Which OLT vendors does XIMS support?
XIMS includes vendor-specific connectors for ZTE OLTs, and generic SSH/Telnet/SNMP connectors that work with Huawei, V-SOL, Fiberhome, BDCOM and most other GPON/EPON OLTs that expose a CLI or SNMP. New vendor connectors can be added on request.
Does XIMS auto-discover ONUs?
Yes. ONU auto-discovery, registration and lifecycle management are built in. The platform listens for new ONUs on each OLT, surfaces them for approval, and provisions VLAN, bandwidth and traffic profile per the assigned customer plan.
How frequently does XIMS poll OLTs?
SNMP polling intervals are configurable per OLT — typical defaults are 60 seconds for live metrics (interface counters, ONU online status, signal levels) and 24 hours for full configuration backup. Critical alarms stream in real time via traps.
Can XIMS roll back an OLT configuration?
Yes. Config backups are scheduled, versioned and diff-able. An operator with rollback permission can restore a prior config from the UI without SSH access. Useful when a misconfiguration affects an entire feeder.
Vendor-aware OLT control, natively inside XIMS.
ZTE natively, plus generic SSH/Telnet for Huawei, V-SOL, BDCOM, Fiberhome and other CLI-accessible OLTs. Auto-discovery, port-level provisioning, ONU lifecycle, SNMP polling and config backup.
